Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

I hope this finds you and your families all safe and well.  In light of the recent changes in Covid 19 rules, with London entering the second tier alert from tomorrow (Saturday 17th October), it is incredibly important we respect both the bubbles within College and also the new Covid 19 rules outside of College.  Currently schools and colleges in London are remaining open and we are incredibly thankful at LCBT to have been able to continue learning without any confirmed cases directly impacting our class bubbles.  We will continue to operate with the majority of full time learning in College, but stand ready to be able to switch to remote learning should we be advised by the Department for Education.

However it is more important than ever that we remain vigilant and take extra precautions as a College community.  Within College we ask all learners to wear a mask or face covering or face shield in all communal areas this to protect their health and the health of others.  Within theory classes, learners can choose to wear a mask or not when seated in theory lessons within their class bubble, unless expressly asked to do so by their lecturer.  For practical lessons, learners are required to wear PPE to industry standards throughout the treatment and this is especially important.  Any learner that does not do this, or does not wear a mask in communal areas will be sent home.  Please support us in this by encouraging your son or daughter to follow College policy on this at all times.

If your child or anyone in your household has any symptoms and need to self isolate, please notify LCBT immediately at lcbt.attendance@lcbt.co.uk.  We are carefully monitoring the situation continuously.   If you have any feedback please contact talkback@lcbt.co.uk

I know these are uncertain and difficult times for many.  At LCBT we continue to provide a strong, safe, and welcoming learning environment.  We have supported all our learners over the past months to successfully complete and graduate from their course and stand strong to continue to support our learners throughout this difficult time.

I wish you all a good weekend.

With best wishes

Christianne C de Moncayo

Principal
