Math's Course Leader and Tutor (Full-time)

The Maths course leader position is suitable for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is committed to supporting both staff and learners in achieving success throughout the study programme and maintaining LCBT’s high standards. This role also involves spearheading the learning and development of learners within the English and Maths provision, ensuring the devise, deliver and manage programmes to meet learners’ individual needs. The position is one that plays and important part in the overall team and would enable the right candidate to growth within the organisation and further their career development into potential management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be fully responsible for the planning, management, monitoring and progression of the Maths provision within the college.
  • Develop and implement LCBTs English and Maths strategy, working with staff across the college to support achievement in both the vocational and academic subject areas
  • Manage, co-ordinate and support Maths staff and yourself to effectively deliver Study Programmes, apprenticeships and any other related programmes with Maths as part of the offer
  • Ensure and maintain quality review processes across the Maths provision, including delivery, marking of tests and assignments, achievement of learning aims, tracking and monitoring learner progress to demonstrate distance travelled
  • Co-ordinate moderation and external verification of qualifications in this subject area and liaise with the external verifier and moderator as necessary.
  • Devise and maintain appropriate recording systems to support initial and diagnostic assessment
  • Manage maths tutors and assist in co-ordinating E&T Team, including recruitment, training, conducting observation of teaching and learning, reviews and appraisals

CIDESCO Course Lead & Tutor – Beauty Therapy (Part/Full-time)

The Education and Training Department is looking for someone to lead and coordinate the development, delivery and success of LCBTs CIDESCO courses including promotion and uptake of the CIDESCO courses on offer. To maintain quality assurance across all aspects of the programmes.

Due to the roll on roll off delivery pattern offered by LCBT, changes to course offers and dates are subject to change throughout the year in line with demand and so it is crucial that this role holder is flexible and responsive to ensure the smooth running for learners and staff, as well as ensuring own delivery and teaching meets the departments KPI’s and targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively promote and deliver on the CIDESCO Beauty Therapy Diploma and Post Grad Course
  • Working with the Marketing team and other departments across college to ensure uptake and success of the course
  • Develop marketing events to promote courses and be confident in visiting and calling salons and clinics in order to raise LCBT’s profile and attract people onto courses
  • Ensure that Department’s physical resources and equipment develop in accordance with the need for excellence
  • Continue to develop and improve viability of full cost courses
  • Be confident in building internal and external relations to improve stakeholder engagement and course/partnership opportunities
  • Effective reporting to SMT and the Executive Board on progress against targets

Operations Administration Assistant (Part-time)

The Operations department is looking for a pro-active and detail oriented Administration Assistant to support across the busy Salon, Central Admissions and Customer Service Departments.
The ideal candidate would have high levels of customer service and enjoy supporting a busy department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Operations Team including, taking payments, answering queries, administration duties
  • Provide administration to the Senior Management Team, this will be a cross department role providing support (when required) to each department and team members as required to enable them to function efficiently in their job role
  • Have excellent organisational skills and ensure prompt response time to any enquiry
  • Manage work efficiently and effectively as a committed member of the overall college team to ensure achievement of individual and team targets

HE Course Lead & Lecturer (Fd Spa Management)

LCBT are looking for a HE Course Lead to support the growth of HE and Commercial courses. The ideal candidate will be experienced delivering and designing HE courses to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively promote and delivery on commercial courses and HE, in particular the foundation degree in international spa management, working with the Marketing team and other departments across college to ensure uptake and success
  • Develop new commercial courses in line with the industry needs and to keep LCBT in the forefront of industry for training
  • Develop marketing events to promote courses and be confident in visiting and calling salons and clinics in order to raise LCBT’s profile and attract people onto courses
  • Ensure that Department’s physical resources and equipment develop in accordance with the need for excellence
  • Communicate the purposes and perspectives of the department with enthusiasm and energy to internal and external audiences
  • Continue to develop and improve viability of full cost courses
  • Be confident in building internal and external relations to improve stakeholder engagement and course/partnership opportunities
  • Provide clear and effective management of staff, including an active role in recruitment and training, consistent with the requirement for excellence
  • Effective reporting to SMT and the Executive Board on progress

Lecturer ( Saudi Arabia-based, Full-time, Permanent)

LCBT Riyadh are looking for someone dedicated, who has passion and drive for the industry and teaching. As a lecturer at the first International Franchise of LCBT in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will be responsible and accountable for managing a number of learners in the capacity of a lecturer, tutor and assessor. If you a qualified Internal Verifier (IQA), you will also be assigned an assessor to quality monitor.

Your role is to support and guide learners at all times, ensuring that learning is fun, interesting, relevant, challenging and appropriate, at the same time developing their English and maths skills based on their starting point and individual needs.

LCBT Riyadh is a franchise of LCBT operated and run by the MENA corporation for Education and Development.

Essential Criteria in the post

Candidates require the following:

  • NVQ Level 2 & Level 3 Beauty Therapy Qualification or Equivalent
  • Assessors Qualification
  • Minimum  Preparing to Teaching in the Life Long Sector or Equivalent
  • Maths and English – GCSE C or Level 2 Equivalent
  • Marketing reporting experience – creating report on marketing activities
  • Minimum 12 months teaching experience

  • £33,000 - £35,000 (paid in Saudi Riyals)

Teaching Assistant (Part-time - September start date)

LCBT are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work with our learners who require additional learning support, ranging from low to high educational support needs. We are ideally looking for graduates who wish to embark on a teaching profession or who want to pursue a career as a special educational needs and disability co-ordinator. If you have a love for working with young people and want to make a difference to their learning experience, then this role is perfect for you. Candidates require the following or an equivalent qualification and experience:

  • Experience of working with Special Educational Needs
  • Confidently able to provide 1:1 and small group support work
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting the development of others
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Great organisational skills with a friendly and professional manor
  • Fluent speaker in English
  • Have both English and Maths qualifications, A*- to C or equivalent

Beauty Therapy Lecturer (F/T and P/T available)

Due to the continued development of the College we are continually looking for full time and part time Lecturers. The successful candidate will be part of our fast passed dynamic E&T department and will be responsible for teaching and assessing learners amongst other duties. Candidates require the following or an equivalent:

  • NVQ/ Diploma in Beauty Therapy level 3, BTEC, ITEC or equivalent;
  • Teaching qualification, minimum PTLLS or willing to work toward gaining DTLLS/Cert Ed;
  • Assessors Award (A1) or equivalent or willing to work towards within probation;
  • Experience of working within a spa/salon environment;
  • Experience of working as a tutor

Hair and Media Make-up Lecturer (F/T and P/T available)

LCBT started the Hair and Media make-up programme in September 2013. Since starting this provision it has been a very successful and has increased in popularity. Therefore we are looking to recruit a number of lecturers based on full time or part time hours. Candidates require the following or an equivalent:

  • NVQ/Diploma hair and Media Make up to Level 3, BTEC National Diploma, ITEC or equivalent
  • Teaching qualification, minimum PTLLS or willing to work toward gaining DTLLS/Cert Ed
  • Assessors award A1 or equivalent or willing to work towards within probation period
  • Experience of working within a spa/salon/make up environment
  • Experience of working as a tutor or facilitator
