Level 3 Diploma

A good level of English, successful interview and initial assessment. Potential learners need to be able to demonstrate dedication and commitment to learning and have aspirations to work and progress into the industry. If you don’t already hold a Level 2 qualification within Hairdressing (NVQ or equivalent), you will also complete this as part of your course. It is expected that you are commercially working within the industry as a hair stylist/ dresser and have relevant hair industry experience. If you are not in employment, it is expected that you secure hair industry employment whist you undertake this course.

Mondays to Tuesdays 9:00am – 5:00pm

• 9th May 2024

Thursdays to Fridays 9:00am – 5:00pm

DURATION

• 6-9 months depending on the mode of study

STUDY MODE

• Typically between 2-4 days a week which would normally include some weekend and evenings

This course is designed for those learners who wish to develop and enhance their hairdressing skill set. As part of your course we will give you regular opportunities to attend industry talks and trade shows. Plus you will perfect your skills on members of the public in our working Salon. It is the course expectation that you will also model and provide models for the practical training and technical assessments studied on the Diploma. You may be required to bring models for your assessments.

• Monitoring and maintain Health and Safety in the salon
• Consultation support for colleagues on hair services
• Styling and dressing hair using a variety of techniques
• Cutting Women’s hair to create a variety of techniques
• Colouring hair to create a variety of looks
• Bridal Hair
• Promoting and selling products and services to clients

The certificate you will gain will be the Level 3 Diploma in Hair Services.

Career Options

Some of the career options open to you, could include: advanced stylist, advanced colourist, free-lance hairdresser, salon owner, product trainer, brand trainer

• 16-18 – No Course Fees
  • (If you have a full existing level 2 Hairdressing Kit, only the compulsory head purchase of £45 will be required by the student to use in the salon and keep. See student admissions for more information on your application day)
  • If you do not have a full Level 2 Hairdressing Kit, this will need to be purchased for £140. See student admission for more information on your application day

• Advanced Learner Loan – £2,583
  • (£58 required for the Uniform and compulsory head purchase. If you do not have a full existing Level 2 Hairdressing Kit then a £153 payment will be required for the hairdressing kit, uniform and compulsory head purchase will be required by the student to use in the salon and keep. • Full Cost – £2,861
  • (Inclusive of Uniform, Hairdressing Kit and model head will included in the cost for use in the salon and keep. See student admissions for more information on your application day.)

• OVERSEAS STUDENTS: International Students outside of the EEA do not qualify for concessionary or non-concessionary fees and will be required to pay the full cost of tuition fees. Evidence of your legality to study in the UK will be required. LCBT is unable to provide any assistance with visa application processes and reserves the right to refuse enrolment on to the course.
