LCBT – College Update

APPG Beauty and Wellbeing Apprenticeship Showcase – Houses of Parliament.

On Monday 18th of September team members from The LCBT and Hannah, a apprenticeship learner attended a Beauty and Wellbeing Apprenticeship Showcase at the Houses of Parliament.

The purpose of this showcase was to celebrate the value of apprentices in the beauty and wellbeing sector, raise awareness of the importance of apprenticeships with MPs, and highlight the skills gap and training challenges the sector is facing.

MPs dropped in to have express beauty treatments and spent time discussing with learners and their lecturers the benefits of apprenticeships and what the programme brings to the sector and the value of the sector more widely.

It was also an opportunity to raise some of the skills and recruitment challenges the sector faces and discuss what they can do to help.

The LCBT team thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was a wonderful opportunity to network with other training providers to discuss the challenges that are being faced within the industry.
