ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: REBEKAH WALSH, FOUNDER OF AFFINITY LASH CO

LCBT graduate Rebekah Walsh shows just how far our beauty courses can take you – and how quickly!
Rebekah studied Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy at LCBT and graduated in January 2023. She had already started her own business, Affinity Lash Co, in 2019 to provide lash and brow services in the London Bridge area, and decided to develop it further by attending LCBT. Since then it has grown exponentially and the only way is up.
But that’s not all: Rebekah’s giving back to the industry by creating jobs for a number of her LCBT class mates at Affinity Lash Co, and she’s even passing on her skills to help even more people become lash and brow artists!
Rebekah says:
“During my time at beauty college pursuing my ITEC Level 2 and 3 certification, I found myself immersed in a vibrant community of like-minded individuals who shared my passion for beauty. The connections I made with fellow students fuelled my inspiration and drive, ultimately shaping the trajectory of my career.
“Those formative days ignited a spark within me to not only excel in my own business endeavours but also to impart my knowledge and expertise onto others.
“Today, as the proud founder of Affinity Lash Co, I’ve built a thriving business that reflects my dedication to the craft. Furthermore, my journey has led me to establish an esteemed eyelash academy, where I am privileged to mentor and educate aspiring beauty professionals.
“It’s a testament to the transformative power of passion and perseverance in the pursuit of one’s dreams.”
Just a few months after graduating, in May 2023, Rebekah came into the college to visit our Level 2 Beauty Therapy students and share her insight on starting out in the industry. Later that year she was presented with our Eileen Cavalier Student of Excellence Award at the 2023 Star Awards.
We’re so proud to see what Rebekah and her team have accomplished and wish her every success for the future.
