Designed to follow a Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification, this course will teach you the additional skills and techniques you need to become a fully qualified beauty therapist and start a career in the beauty industry.

Course Overview
Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
The Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy builds on the fundamental skills learned in Level 2 Beauty Therapy to qualify as a professional beauty therapist. You’ll learn more complex treatments such as massage, body and facial electrical treatments and epilation and gain confidence in performing more advanced techniques. We’ll also teach you how to prepare for entering the industry, including practicing for interviews and trade tests.
On successful completion of this course you will be fully qualified to work as a beauty therapist in a salon, spa, health club, hotel or even on a cruise ship. Practical learning takes place in LCBT’s on-site salon, where you will have the opportunity to practice your skills with real clients. We will provide you with a uniform to wear whilst you are at college. You will need to purchase the beauty kit to practice treatments for a small fee.

Entry Requirements
Aged 16-18
Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
Proficient in English reading, writing, listening and speaking
If you haven’t achieved a minimum grade 4 in GCSE English and/or Maths, you will need to complete Functional Skills or the relevant GCSEs alongside your studies. This will be embedded into your course and is a mandatory government requirement.
Overseas Applicants
Evidence of your legal right to study in the UK will be required. LCBT is unable to provide any assistance with visa applications.
Important Information
We are a diverse college and you may be in a group with students of all genders. You will be required to perform and receive all treatments with students on your course. If you cannot have certain treatments performed for medical reasons please ensure you let us know when you apply.

Duration & Timetable
One year, two days a week, with occasional weekends and evenings.
If you need to resit GCSE English or Maths or complete Functional Skills, you will study for an extra 3–6 hours per week, per subject.

On completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy, you will be fully qualified to work as a beauty therapist in a salon or spa, or even set up your own business as a self-employed beauty therapist.
