This course is designed for those aged 19+ with no qualifications or experience in hairdressing, and includes the necessary Level 2 units so that you don’t have to spend extra time and money to start your career as a hair stylist or colour technician.

Our Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing (with Colouring & Styling) is designed for those aged 19+ with no prior experience in hairdressing, teaching you a range of essential and advanced skills to help you start your career as a hair stylist or colourist.
You’ll learn to create a variety of looks using advanced cutting techniques, enhance your skills in dressing and styling hair, and increase your knowledge of colouring techniques and products. We’ll also teach you more about health and safety practices, selling and promoting your services and products, and how to support colleagues with consultations.
Your course includes the required Level 2 units free of charge, which means you don’t have to spend additional time and money to gain a Level 2 qualification first!
Practical learning takes place in LCBT’s own Salon where you will have the opportunity to practice your skills with real clients, as well as modelling for other students and sourcing your own models for practical training and assessments. We will provide you with a uniform to wear whilst you are at college. You will need to purchase the hairdressing kit to practice techniques for a small fee.

Aged 19+
If you don’t hold a relevant Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing, this will be integrated as part of your one year course. If you already have a relevant Level 2 qualification, you will join the course approximately 8 weeks later.

We are a diverse college and you may be in a group with students of all genders. You will be required to perform and receive all treatments with students on your course. If you cannot have certain treatments performed for medical reasons please ensure you let us know when you apply.

On successful completion of this course you will gain a Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing (with Colouring & Styling) and you’ll be ready to take on a role as a Senior Stylist.

Designed for those wishing to pursue a career in film, TV and theatre hair and make-up, this course builds on the skills learned at Level 2 to develop a portfolio of advanced techniques and industry knowledge.
