This course is designed for those aged 19+ to advance the skills learned at Level 2. You’ll learn more advanced cutting, styling and colouring techniques and gain the knowledge and confidence to start your career as a hair stylist or colour technician.

Our Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing is designed for those aged 19+ to teach you a range of essential and advanced skills to help you start your career as a hair stylist or colourist.
You’ll learn to create a variety of looks using advanced cutting techniques, enhance your skills in dressing and styling hair, and increase your knowledge of colouring techniques and products. We’ll also teach you more about health and safety practices, selling and promoting your services and products, and how to support colleagues with consultations.
We will provide you with a uniform to wear whilst you are at college. You will need to purchase the hairdressing kit to practice techniques for a small fee.

Level 2 Hairdressing qualification (we will require proof that you have achieved or are studying for a full Level 2 qualification before we can offer you a place)
We recommend a minimum of grade 3 (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English.
Evidence of your legal right to study in the UK will be required. LCBT is unable to provide any assistance with visa applications.
We are a diverse college and you may be in a group with students of all genders. You will be required to perform and receive all treatments with students on your course. If you cannot have certain treatments performed for medical reasons please ensure you let us know when you apply.

On successful completion of this course you will gain a Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing and you’ll be ready to take on a role as a Senior Stylist.
Our careers advisors can help you decide on the route that is right for you and offer coaching and guidance to support you in securing a job in the hairdressing industry. They will also help you access current vacancies across the UK, working with over 700 industry partners.
