COURSE OVERVIEW
LCBT’s Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy with Make-up for all ages covers the essential knowledge and understanding needed to help you start your career as a therapist. The units that you study will provide you with the basic skills to perform many of the beauty treatments on offer in salons across the UK. Units include make-up, waxing and eyebrow and lash enhancement as well as experiencing the duties and responsibilities of working in a salon.
You will be provided with a uniform to wear whilst you are at college and a beauty kit that you will own to support you completing your practical treatments and to be used personally.
A good level of English, successful interview and initial assessment. Potential learners need to be able to demonstrate dedication and commitment to learning and have aspirations to work and progress into the industry.

STUDY MODE
Typically between 2-4 days a week which would normally include some weekend and evenings
This course provides the essential knowledge and understanding needed to help you start your career as a Therapist. The units that you study will provide you with the skills to perform many of the beauty treatments on offer in salons across the UK.

- Nail Services (Manicure & Pedicure)
- Facials
- Waxing
- Lash & Brow Treatments
- Salon Reception
- Selling and promoting techniques /client care
- Creating an Image
- Health and safety / knowledge of beauty industries
- Enrichment to develop further skills i.e. beauty shows
Learners will also study client care, health & safety and industry knowledge.
*If you are 16-18 years of age as part of your course you may need to complete Functional Skills or GCSEs in English and/or Maths. If you do not need to complete English or Maths you may complete the additional Beauty Therapy units.

You will gain a Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
Beauty Therapy requires a qualification to practice professionally – and this course will give you excellent general skills, which you can start to use in employment. You can then progress onto a Level 3 Advanced Beauty Therapy qualification, to become fully qualified, or if your passion lies within the Make-Up sector then you can enrol onto our Advanced Make-Up with SFX and Hair Styling diploma.

- (£115 Required for Kit to use in salon and keep)
- Full Cost – £3,585
- (Inclusive of Uniform and Kit to use in the salon and keep)
- OVERSEAS STUDENTS: International Students outside of the EEA do not qualify for concessionary or non-concessionary fees and will be required to pay the full cost of tuition fees. Evidence of your legality to study in the UK will be required. LCBT is unable to provide any assistance with visa application processes and reserves the right to refuse enrolment on to the course.
