Star Awards 2025

Last week, we held our Star Awards – a special event to celebrate the achievements of some of our incredible students here at LCBT. Here’s a quick look at what happened!

What are the Star Awards?

The Star Awards is our annual celebration where we recognise students from all courses who have gone above and beyond during their time at LCBT. We invited both the nominees and winners to join us for the event. They also brought friends and family members along to join them in the celebration!

What Happened at the Event?

The afternoon started with a photo wall where students could take pictures with our photographer. Guests then enjoyed welcome drinks, including prosecco and mocktails, and some tasty nibbles.

Then it was time for our awards! Our Principal, Lee Lucas, gave a warm welcome speech, and tutors shared a few words about each student before bringing them to the stage to receive their certificates.

To end the night, Caroline Neville MBE, President of CEW (UK), presented the Eileen Cavalier Student of Excellence Award. She also gave some great advice, such as:

• “Take every opportunity to promote yourself and network like mad! If you do that you make your own luck.”
• “Don’t be afraid to support and nurture your colleagues and friends!”

All winners also received a surprise goodie bag from Pippa of London thanks to their kind donation!

How Were the Winners Chosen?

Winners were selected because they stood out in different ways, including:

• Always eager to learn – even joining extra masterclasses and industry enrichment activities
• Great attendance – never or hardly ever missing a day
• A strong drive to succeed
• Being kind and supportive to others
