Starting Your Hairdressing Career at 16-18
If you’re aged 16-18, our Level 2 Diploma in Women’s and Men’s Hairdressing is the perfect first step. This one year course equips you with the essential skills, like cutting, styling and colouring for both men and women’s hair. You’ll also learn how to shampoo, condition, and create looks for different occasions.
You’ll gain hands-on experience, working with real clients to develop your confidence and technical ability. Alongside practical and technical skills, you’ll learn how to provide excellent customer service, promote products and services, and follow health and safety standards in a salon environment.
Once you’ve completed your Level 2 Diploma, you’ll be ready to start working as a Junior Stylist or progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Hair Services.
Progress on to our Level 3 Diploma in Hair Services
To enrol on our Level 3 Diploma in Hair Services, you’ll need to have completed a Level 2 qualification. This advanced course focuses on enhancing the skills you’ve already learned, introducing techniques like precision cutting, creative colouring, and specialist styling for events or occasions.
You’ll also develop professional consultation techniques, improve your understanding of salon health and safety, and gain experience in salon management. Like the Level 2 course, you’ll practice your skills on real clients in our full-equipped classrooms, preparing your for senior roles such as a Senior Stylist or Colour Technician.
This programme ensures you graduate with the expertise and confidence you need to excel in the hairdressing industry.
Starting your Hairdressing Career at 19+
If you’re 19 or older, we also offer a 19+ Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing (with Colouring and Styling), which you can apply to if you already hold an existing, relevant Level 2 qualification.
