Learning from a MAC Cosmetics MUA – Exclusive Masterclass

Our Hair and Media Make-Up students recently had the opportunity to attend a masterclass with MAC Cosmetics on Carnaby Street. Led by a professional MAC make-up artist, Lais, the session covered essential kit must-haves, expert techniques and top industry tips to help students refine their skills.

What Did the Masterclass Cover?

During the masterclass, Lais demonstrated a stunning 2025 runway-inspired make-up look on one of our students. The look featured ‘moonlight’ glowy skin and a soft brown smokey eye – a popular trend this year.

She shared expert advice, including:   

• The importance of skin preparation before applying make-up, based on skin type and chosen products.
• Pro techniques to boost how long make-up lasts
• Kit essentials for freelance make-up artists
