This course is specifically designed for beauty therapists, make-up artists or hairdressers aspiring to lead and manage a salon in the beauty, hair and make-up sector. This qualification provides you with the knowledge and skills to take up a management position at a spa or salon, or start your own business.

Learn the core skills needed to manage a salon in the hair and beauty sector, focusing on both the practical and theoretical aspects of salon management. Develop your skills in management, client care, public relations, research and marketing for the beauty sector. You’ll learn how to lead a team, manage finances, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of business operations, including planning, budgeting, and financial management. You’ll understand how to develop business plans, set goals and measure performance. We’ll also teach you how to ensure your business complies with health and safety regulations.
When you successfully complete this course, you’ll be ready to start a management role in the beauty and hairdressing industry, such as a Salon Manager, Spa Manager or Business Owner.

Enrichment
You’ll gain practical industry experience and have the opportunity to attend or take part in beauty industry shows, events and careers fairs to help build your knowledge, experience and professional network.
Assessment
You will complete a combination of written assignments, salon observations and work experience. You’ll also be required to complete a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your skills in various aspects of salon management.

Important Information
We are a diverse college, and you may be in a group with students of all genders. You will be required to perform and receive all treatments with students on your course. If you cannot have certain treatments performed for medical reasons, please ensure you let us know when you apply.

On successful completion of this course, you will gain a VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management.
