Ideal for those already working as beauty therapists, this course is focused on techniques for reducing hair growth and photo rejuvenation of the skin using intense light and laser (IPL) treatments. You’ll learn about skin anatomy and physiology, safety protocols and client consultation techniques.

Designed for beauty therapists wanting to advance their skills, the Level 4 Certificate in Laser & Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatment develops your skills in treatments for reducing hair growth and for skin photo rejuvenation. You’ll develop an understanding of safe working practices and learn how to identify and control hazards. You’ll also learn to identify which clients are suitable for intense light and laser treatments.
Practical learning takes place in LCBT’s own Salon where you will have the opportunity to practice your skills with real clients, as well as modelling for other students and sourcing your own models for practical training and assessments. You’ll gain comprehensive, practical experience and develop confidence in performing treatments.

VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments
Enrichment
You’ll gain practical industry experience and have the opportunity to attend or take part in beauty industry shows, events and careers fairs to help build your knowledge, experience and professional network.
Assessment
You will complete up to 15 days of practicals and up to 6 case studies, as well as a final theory and practical exam for each unit.

Important Information
We are a diverse college, and you may be in a group with students of all genders. You will be required to perform and receive all treatments with students on your course. If you cannot have certain treatments performed for medical reasons, please ensure you let us know when you apply.
