This course provides intensive training in the latest technology in nail services and a must for therapists currently working in all sectors of Beauty Therapy.
You will learn the industry leading Calgel system which is a genuine one phase flexible gel which is non-damaging, fast and the modern way to achieve thin, flexible, natural and natural looking beautiful nails. Colour gel overlay can be used on natural nails, toenails, under and over artificial tips and to create sculptures for those clients who can’t wait to grow their nails. It has superior adhesion to the natural nail plate and is extremely flexible and tough. This system is completely safe to use, it has been researched, tested and developed over many years by nail experts and does not contain the chemicals found in other products that inhibit the natural nail. This system allows the nail to respire and grow healthily under the protective layer of the gel ensuring no damage the natural nail. The gel is available in over 60 glamorous colours, which will not chip or peel and lasts for 3-8 weeks or clients can suit a colour for a particular outfit and then have the gel easily removed back to original nail colour in perfect condition. Upon completion of this training you will be fully trained in nail care as well as the application system.

The system is centred on Calgel brand; a one-phase gel that is perfect for nail extensions and semi permanent nail colour that does not require a different gel for sculpting or any type of base coat or sealer. You will complete the course, trained in all aspects of the one-phase gel techniques and be able to perform applications in clear, ‘French’ and 70+ colours, plus removal, nail repair, gel fill and other relative applications. You will also be trained to advise clients on contra-indications to treatment, homecare and aftercare, salon ethics and hygiene.
Final assessment:
Learners will be working on each other for practice and assessment. No models are required for the final assessment.

Entry requirements
NVQ level 2 as a minimum or have the LCBT Nail Extensions certificate
Dress code
Salon uniform, soft soled shoes, hair tied back of the face, light day make up, no jewellery. If you dont have a uniform you can wear a plain black top with plain black bottoms.
