At London College of Beauty Therapy we recognise the need for expert training of young people. This is why we run two programmes for 14-16 year olds in conjunction with schools and home centres.

Hair and Beauty Diploma

We are the lead consortium in Central London for the Hair and Beauty Diploma Level 2. We currently work with 5 home centres where the learners study their functional skills (Mathematics, English and Science). They attend college at LCBT one day a week to learn more about the hair and beauty industry in 10 specialist units. This 2 year course is the equivalent to 7 GCSEs at grades A*-C with 20% practical based work.

ASDAN - Certificate of Personal Effectiveness

Alongside the Hair and Beauty Diploma we also offer the ASDAN, Certificate of Personal Effectiveness. This course sees learners completing challenges, project work and participating in activities such as:

  • Visits to Beauty Industry Salons
  • Event Planning
  • Makeovers
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Business Studies

We are now seeking to expand our offering of the Diploma and ASDAN to more home centres in the London area.
