Health and Safety (G1)
In 2003, LCBT and the Learning Skills Council undertook at survey to examine the level of, 'Skills in the Beauty Industry'. This study highlighted a number of skills gaps.
This unit will cover:
- Current legislation for the health, safety and welfare of employees
- Employers’ responsibilities, risk assessment, policies and procedures.
The scope of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 covers “all persons” whether employers, employees - full and part time, self-employed individuals, contractors, and unpaid staff.

At the end of this session, all candidates will achieve the G1 NVQ Level 3 unit in this subject.
