  • Retail Assessor

    Our new Retail Qualification was created by the industry for the industry! As Remote Beauty Retail Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing retail consultants throughout the UK who are undertaking this new and exciting qualification.

    Requirements:

    The role will involve:

    • Ensuring enrolment, retention and achievement targets are met
    • Ensuring learners assignments, examinations and tests are marked and assessed within two week turn around
    • Giving clear and constructive feedback to the learner using the correct documentation
    • Ensuring that evidence provided by the learner meets the requirements of the awarding body and complies with the Retail marking scheme
    • Preparing appropriate assessment evidence with guidance from the internal verifier to ensure sampling of work is achieved within the specified time scale
    • Preparing, on a monthly basis (or as required by your line manager), reports for the Program Manager for enrolment, retention and achievement
    • Ensuring programme documentation is maintained in line with audit requirements
    • Organising and delivering the learners inductions, ensuring that learners have a full and appropriate induction including their learning materials
    • Keeping up to date with new products, services that the company may need to include in any training programs
    • Ensuring all paperwork is completed in accordance with audit procedures
    • Attending training as required by the company
    • Positively representing the College and protect it’s reputation

     Essential Requirements:

    • Significant Beauty Retail sector experience
    • Able to work on own initiative
    • Self motivated and able to motivate others
    • Proven experience of meeting performance targets
    • Proven experience of working effectively in a team and on own
    • Experience of communicating and reporting within the retail industry
    • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
    • A strong orientation towards goal and target achievement
    • Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator
    • Adaptability (a propensity to be flexible where necessary)
    • Professional discretion, maintaining a professional and effective manner with both colleagues and learners

    Ability to travel, own mode of transport essential

    Desirable Requirements:

    • Assessors Award/Verifiers Award (D32, D33)
    • Able to demonstrate success and experience dealing with customers and clients successfully

    • Training qualification/certificate
    • A thorough knowledge of Health and safety issues
    • A proven personal track record of high retention and achievement
