LCBT were thrilled to take part in the first Love Maggie's Day. Three trainee therapists went down to the cancer care centre in Hammersmith to give complimentary mini manicures to supporters and visitors of the Maggie's Centre. LCBT were in good company as Sarah Brown, Janet Ellis, Anneka Rice and Aggie McKenzie all showed their support on the day too.

The main event was an organised "big hug" of the Maggie's Centre, which was designed by architect Richard Rogers and is open to anyone who is affected by cancer. Celebrities, visitors who have been touched by cancer and LCBT students all joined together in a united hug to show apprecitation for the centre which opened in 2008 and services the whole of London.

Visitors on the day not only enjoyed special mini-manicures from LCBT students, but also handmade cupcakes (and a tutorial on how to decorate them from Janet Ellis' daughter) along with other small stalls to raise money for the centre.

Find out more about Love Maggies Day and all the good work they do on their website. Take a look at the London College of Beauty Therapy Facebook fan page to see a selection of our photos from the event!
